Cimarron was founded in 2002 to provide investors with exposure to a select group of niche investment strategies operating across global credit and equity markets. We seek out managers with demonstrated expertise in corners of the market where durable opportunities exist to produce excess return.
The Cimarron funds are managed by 1207 Capital Group, LLC, a registered investment adviser.
Philosophy
Aligned Interests
Prudent investment management depends on proper alignment of interests. A manager's personal capital should be invested alongside investors' capital.
Concentration
Concentration and diversification are compatible. A concentrated portfolio comprised of strategies with limited relation to each other allows investors to achieve diversification without excessively diluting holdings.
Relative Value
Relative value strategies are often advantageous. Exploiting discrepencies in market pricing between related securities is a task more readily accomplished than timing broad market movements.
